This is the time of year where my schedule slows down a bit. November through January gives me time to reflect about my business, my schedule, my gardens, and my writing. I seem to have more time for my clients, my family, and my home. All of us are spending more time inside since the weather is colder, but it doesn't keep me from enjoying brief interludes in the woods. Sometimes, I feel more at home there than inside a building! That is also a beautiful place to reflect in silence.
I am currently offering my clients 1/2 off of the regular consultation fee for the first visit in December. This gives the clients with financial concerns a chance to see me, and it gives me a chance to meet those that I might have missed. I will be offering these discounts once a year. Right now, I am reflecting on how I can help more than just the clients living near me. Soon, I will be ready to offer online sessions.
I have been teaching classes for the beginning and budding herbalist in my area for the last 5 years. I will be offering another six month class meeting every week beginning in March of 2017. You will find information about that under the Events page soon. I am also reflecting how I can expand my audience and help those that want the information, but lack the ability to show up once a week. I am considering offering weekend intensives this year also for those individuals.
I am in the process of writing a book for my students and anyone else interested in learning about herbalism without being overwhelmed. It is called, "Simple Training for the Modern Day Herbalist". Stay tuned for more information about this book in the coming year. I will also be offering e-books to help the student and budding herbalist very soon. You will find announcements on this website, my Facebook page @MaryColvinClinicalHerbalist, on Nature's Warehouse website, and at Sprigs.life. Contact me on my Contact page if you are interested in any of my services.
I want to wish all my readers, students, and clients the best holiday season and many blessings for the new year. I also pray that all of you find time in silence to reflect on your own personal journey and life and where you can find joy and fulfillment in the years to come. I hope to meet many of you soon, and wish all of you the best of health!!
Sincerely,
Mary Colvin
