Since February of 2023, I have offered a free opportunity for herbal students to join in a community of like-minded individuals wanting to study the ins and outs of herbalism. This opportunity consists of a monthly meet-up online where we discuss a new topic each month, as well as, a private Facebook group where the students can network and ask questions from other students. I call this opportunity Herbology Talk where we can discuss everything about the study of herbalism. I offer this meet-up once a month on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7pm EST. Go to my Events page for more information along with registration instructions. I hope you end up joining us soon!
Those that register for this free monthly meet-up will gain insight, advice, and guidance from a professional Clinical Herbalist (myself) who is also a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalists Guild. I want to help new students as well as students that have graduated take the next step in their journey into herbalism. I have had a wonderful time meeting new students and answering their questions for the last several months, and I look forward to watching this community of students grow.
How can Herbology Talk help you? If you have ever been interested in learning more about herbs and don’t know what direction to go first, Herbology Talk could benefit you. If you are overwhelmed with the array of topics involved in the study of herbs or the amount of information given from each, the guidance offered in Herbology Talk could also benefit you. Maybe, you just graduated from an herbal school and don’t know what you should do next. Do you start your own business, do you have what is required to start it, or do you know how to protect yourself? What about applying to be a Registered Herbalist with the AHG? Herbology Talk focuses on herbal training, clinical herbalism, mentorship, and starting a business. You can lose nothing, but gain everything by registering for Herbology Talk if you have the time to join us every month.
Along with the monthly meet-ups, I have started the Herbology Talk Podcast. This podcast includes interviews with teachers, mentors, schools, and other students to highlight areas of study to include in your own journey. It is also an enjoyable conversation into other people’s journeys into herbalism. Find out how our elders and teachers got their training, and what led them to where they are today. Discover new resources, class opportunities, and mentors available while learning how to make yourself a priority. Herbology Talk Podcast is a new podcast dedicated to the training aspect of herbalism, and those of us that are following that path.
I have added an additional page on this website to direct you to the latest episodes. All you have to do is click on the image to be directed to Herbology Talk Podcast page. I hope you find enjoyment with each episode. You will find so much information and inspiration to help you build your training and focus on the areas of study you wish to follow.
All of this will go along with my new additional website herbalistsmentor.com which will be coming soon. This new website will offer resources, training videos, and membership opportunities for both mentoring and training. It focuses on Navigating the Study of Herbalism which is a webinar that I have presented for the American Herbalists Guild in the past and have turned into a guidance map for anyone wanting to study herbs.
Be sure to sign up for my mailing list to get additional information as it is available about my upcoming book in May of 2024 that will guide the beginner herbalist into creating their own home apothecary while teaching the basics of herbal medicine. It includes 35 herbs that will be used to create formulas for the apothecary, and hands-on training exercises to become familiar with all of the herbs it includes.
